‘Affidea Home’

With a strong sense of responsibility towards society and health, the Affidea Group has launched the operation of the first home for families with hospitalized children. The 'Affidea Home' will host the families of children with chronic illnesses who are receiving treatment or are hospitalized in hospitals in Attica.

The 'Affidea Home' is housed in a property located a short distance from the Children's Hospital 'Agia Sofia' and is fully equipped to accommodate a family, easing their daily life. Its use will be based on pre-defined vulnerability and needs criteria, in coordination with the respective hospital. The home is available for full use and accommodation, and includes kitchen and dining areas, sleeping rooms, a laundry room, a living room with a television, and internet access.

The 'Affidea Home' initiative brings to life the vision of the President and CEO of Affidea Greece, Mr. Theodoros Karoutzos, who emphasized, 'We are proud to launch the operation of the 'Affidea Home' in Greece, providing a safe and welcoming environment for the families of children facing chronic conditions. With Affidea’s support, this will be a place of family respite, primarily for families coming from outside Athens who have their children hospitalized in one of the city’s hospitals. Supporting them during this challenging period is our priority. With respect and care, Affidea demonstrates its commitment to standing by those who need it most, offering meaningful help and relief.'
