Multiparametric Prostate MRI

The Multiparametric Prostate MRI is a specialized diagnostic method for studying the prostate gland, with excellent diagnostic sensitivity in the following cases:

  1. Detection of Clinically Significant Prostate Cancer: It aids in disease staging and guides targeted biopsy.

  2. Monitoring Prostate Cancer Patients: It is used to follow up on patients undergoing surgical or pharmacological treatment to assess disease progression and early detection of potential recurrence.

The examination lasts between 30 to 45 minutes and requires some special preparation.

On the day of the examination, it is necessary for the patient to bring an informational note from the referring physician (either a urologist or oncologist) containing information about the urological history, the clinical examination of the prostate gland, and the most recent PSA levels.

Due to the specific nature of the examination and the time required for image processing, results are delivered within a few working days (from 2 to 10 working days).

It is recommended to contact the Diagnostic Center you will visit for clarification on preparation, as it may vary based on the patient's history.
