PCR Covid 19

The Affidea Diagnostic Centers Group conducts the SARS-CoV-2 genome detection test using the Real Time PCR method, under conditions of complete safety, comfort, and discretion, without waiting and hassle, and without the examinee coming into contact with other individuals.

Special areas have been designated at Affidea Diagnostic Centers for the arrival of examinees, with separate entrances and exits, strictly by appointment, while the test is also offered at home through the Group's External Services Department.

The molecular detection test determines if someone is currently infected with the virus but does not show if someone was infected in the past (antibodies). According to medical recommendations, the molecular test can be performed at the onset of symptoms and may need to be repeated at a later time.

Samples are collected by specialized and appropriately trained staff equipped with special protective gear and ready to answer any questions the examinee may have.

Results are available within 24 hours depending on the time the sample is taken and are sent via the email provided by the patient. For the safety and protection of public health, financial transactions for the examinees will be carried out exclusively through e-banking.

Special precautionary measures against Covid-19 are implemented in all Affidea Diagnostic Centers, ensuring their uninterrupted operation, based on the strictest approved health protocols and clinical governance procedures.
