Affidea, recognizing the need for blood collection at your home or office, offers the “Home Blood Collection” service for everyone with a simple appointment. This service is available across Greece daily, and additionally on Saturdays for the Attica region.
Affidea's Diagnostic Laboratories ensure and demonstrate their quality of operation and health service provision by applying a Quality Management System according to the International Standard ELOT EN ISO 9001:2008 and participating in Proficiency Testing programs, known as External Quality Control.
What tests can I perform through Home Blood Collection?
You can perform all microbiological tests available at Affidea’s Diagnostic Laboratories. Blood collection is conducted for children from 12 months and older by well-trained phlebotomists, and also includes Covid-19 detection tests (Rapid test & PCR), under conditions of complete safety.

How many days in advance should I schedule an appointment for blood collection? Is any preparation required before the test?
For optimal service, you may schedule an appointment 1 or 2 days in advance of the desired test date. You will be informed about any necessary preparations for the tests by the Affidea representative who will arrange your appointment.
Can I schedule a blood collection appointment at my workplace?
You can have the blood collection performed individually or in groups at any location that suits you.
When and how can I receive my results?
Depending on the tests you choose, you will be informed on the day of blood collection about how to receive your results. You can collect the results either by visiting the Affidea Diagnostic Center that serves you, via email, or they can be sent directly to the referring physician you have designated.
Can I use my health fund?
Yes, you can have tests performed with a referral note from your doctor. Tests can be conducted with an EOPYY referral or at preferential rates from the private price list. Note that there is a charge for the visit. For more information, contact an Affidea representative for prompt assistance.
